130 years since my first -generation grandfather, Tatsumura Heizo, the first generation of Tatsumura, founded a textile industry in 1894 (Meiji 27), has been born and developed the dyeing industry when four Tatsumura Heizo was born during that time. I am now happy that I have been named the prestigious marks and I am in a position to work as an expressionist.
In the name of the fifth generation Tatsumura Heizo, we will first inherit the spirit of “Supreme quality” in the first generation. “Quality” is not only a material meaning that the dimensions and weight of the object meet the scale standard, but also the human called “goods (elegant, quality)” and “quality (inner fulfillment)”. It means the true longing of. And I intend to create the most filled art textile.
In addition, in order to accomplish that “highest quality”, I will raise “Japanese Dynamism and Japanese liberation” as my new guideline. This is a long -lasting design (composition, color scheme), design (expression) method, and weaving technique that has been fixed and patternized in the world of kimono for a long time. By performing a “reinterpretation of sensation and techniques” (Japanese Dynamism), the synonymous with the Tatsumura art textile will further evolve, “Restoration”, and the art textiles that can be used in modern times are to the “art” area. It is an attempt to create a tide (Japanese liberation) that will be expanded and transmitted to Japan and overseas. In the future, we will work hard as an artist to achieve the “highest quality” at the world level.
